Ron Cueva 1501 Panama Sistema 12 Solera - damaged packaging
Product with damaged cardboard packaging.
Rum Ron Cueva 1501 Panama Sistema 12 Solera is the result of traditional Panamanian production that relies on patience and quality wood. In the Solera system, younger and older rums are blended, achieving a complex, harmonious flavor with a smooth character. The deep amber color with golden reflections suggests the sweetness and maturity hidden in the bottle.
The rum is distilled from molasses, aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels, while the Solera process allows for the blending of younger and older vintages, resulting in richness and depth of flavors. The bottle is filled with an alcohol content of 40 %, giving it a balanced strength without sharp aggression.
The aroma features dominant notes of caramel, vanilla, and honey, complemented by dried fruits, raisins, and apricots. In the background, there is a subtle hint of coconut, oak wood, and sweet spices, which add pleasant depth to the aroma. The taste is smooth and creamy – on the palate, caramel, dark chocolate, dates and a gentle spiciness of cinnamon or nutmeg emerge. The sweetness is balanced by a subtle woody and spicy undertone.
The finish is velvety and long, with lingering notes of roasted wood, caramel, and gentle spices. The alcohol is elegantly integrated, leaving a pleasant, warming sensation.
This rum is best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a tulip glass that allows its complex aroma to shine. It also pairs wonderfully as a digestif after dinner or in combination with high-quality dark chocolate.
