The best rum on the planet - this is also the title of the dark rum Ron Centenario Edición Limitada 30 Year Old. A unique blend that has been aged for 30 years with the Solera system, it offers a perfect interplay of flavour, aroma and colour. Not for nothing is it called a work of art among rums.

The Centenario Internacional distillery was established in 1969 and the Centenario 30 year old rum was created using the Solera system from rums, some of which are aged for 30 years or more. This makes it a truly premium product - a rum blend from the very oldest casks that this Costa Rican distillery has in its stocks.

Decades of sophisticated ageing and blending in oak casks, some of which previously contained whisky, some bourbon and some dessert wines, are reflected in the aroma of this rum gem. The flavour of the rum really reflects the 30 years of ageing strongly and one glass is certainly not enough to reveal all the layers of flavour.

The sugar cane used to make the rum is only locally grown and 100 % hand-processed. Each barrel is tasted regularly and long records are kept of the taste of the drink inside. The blending is then carried out on the basis of these.

The rum undergoes a rigorous taste and quality check before being bottled in heavy gold-lidded bottles that look a bit like expensive perfume bottles - so only the best really goes to the consumer.
