Primitivo Masso Antico

Primitivo are intense red wines, that are made from the Primitivo grape variety, also known as Zinfandel in the United States. This variety has its roots in the south of Italy in the region of Apulia (Puglia), where it has been cultivated for several centuries. The berries of this vine are dark blue.

Origin

Characteristics of Primitivo wines
Primitivo wines have a dark, often opaque ruby ​​to purple color. Typical aromas for this variety are black fruits such as blackberries, cherries and plums, often accompanied by notes of spice, chocolate, vanilla and tobacco. The wines are full and juicy. with a robust and warm character. They often have a higher alcohol content, which can reach up to 15%.
