In 1989 Alexander Gabriel discovers Maison Ferrand, one of the oldest spirits brands in the Cognac region. It immediately captures his heart, and Alexandre enthusiastically dives into the details and craftsmanship of cognac production.

In the 1990s, Alexandre Gabriel travels through the Caribbean in search of the best rums from the region. This leads to the creation of Plantation: a craft range of rums from the finest tropical areas. Fifteen years later, Alexandre focuses on rum production and in 2012 receives the Master Rum Blender of the Year award at the Golden Rum Barrel Awards, and the American Distilling Institute names him Distiller of the Year.

Today, Alexandre Gabriel is the president and owner of Maison Ferrand, which has gained recognition across the category and industry. He focuses on three main spirits that represent the passion and vision of Maison Ferrand: Ferrand Cognac, Citadelle Gin, and Plantation Rum: authentic spirits that express the unique terroir that created them.
