Nikka Discovery The Grain Whisky
This special edition is a tribute to the art of blending, the result of a careful selection of the finest spirits from four Nikka distilleries: the famous Miyagikyo, primarily equipped with column stills, Nishinomiya, closed in 1998, and Moji and Satsuma Tsukasa, originally intended for shochu production. This is Nikka Discovery The Grain Whisky.
On the nose of this grain whisky, beeswax, aromatic herbs, and fresh fruit blend with vanilla and grain nuances, revealing the richness of its flavor profile. On the palate, the creamy sweetness of almond and coconut milk combines with delicate vanilla to provide a dynamic attack, while notes of sweet wood, cinnamon, and ginger add surprising depth.
The smooth, balanced finish extends the tasting experience and reveals grains and aromatic herbs, which initially appeared on the nose, accompanied by flavors of mint, acacia honey, and floral aromas that linger on the tongue.
Nikka The Grain is the result of careful blending, combining aged Coffey Grain (corn and malted barley) and Coffey Malt (100% malted barley). These spirits are enriched with Barley Grain (malted and unmalted barley) and Barley Grain and Corn & Rye (malted barley, corn, rye), distilled in iron stills at the Moji and Satsuma Tsukasa distillery.
This grain whisky, bottled at an alcohol content of 48% and aged in new American oak barrels, offers a smooth structure and a complex aromatic palette. The old and new spirits harmoniously blend to create a unique sensory experience.
Bottles have a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in stylish gift cartons.
