Mossburn Island Blended Malt Cask Bill No.1

Mossburn Island Blended Malt Cask Bill No.1 is the first of two introductory special editions of Mossburn Signature Casks Series whiskey containing whiskey blended from different parts of Scotland. Both editions finally matured into special copper-plated barrels, which were made to further enhance the distinctive tastes of the region of origin.

The first edition of No.1 focused on the island whiskeys of the Scotland region and hides a great blend of them. To enhance the typical properties for which these coastal whiskeys are popular, their blend, after mixing, was refilled into once-filled bourbon barrels and fired virgin European barrels for extra smoke seasoning.

Aroma : a mixture of coastal smoke and a sweet hint of malt
Taste : spices (nutmeg, cinnamon), caramel, raisins, Linz cakes and a light puff of smoke
Conclusion : long-lasting with tones of cake, jam and roasted rye
