Description
Big Peat is gone and given a reliable kick in the form of an elegant foxterrier! Scallywag, from Douglas Laing Distillery, is a blended whiskey made exclusively from whiskeys sourced from the Speyside region of Scotland, renowned for its rich and complex malt whiskies.
The distilleries used include, for example, Macallan, Mortlach and Glenrothes. Many of the whiskeys used in this small release come from Spanish sherry casks, giving Scallywag a delightful sweetness that is balanced in this blend by some whiskey from "naughty bourbon casks." The result is a whiskey with a rich and deep flavor profile.
The bottle is decorated with a picture of a fox terrier - a dog that was a favorite pet of the Laing family.
