Big Peat is gone and has given you a reliable kick in the form of an elegant fox terrier with a monocle! Scallywag, from the Douglas Laing distillery, is a blended malt whisky made exclusively from whiskies sourced from the Scottish Speyside region, known for its rich and complex malt whiskies.
The distilleries used include Macallan, Mortlach, and Glenrothes. Many of the whiskies used in this small release come from Spanish sherry casks, which impart an impressive sweetness to Scallywag, balanced by a touch of whisky from "<strong/naughty bourbon casks. The result is a whisky with a rich and deep flavor profile.
The bottle is adorned with an image of a fox terrier – a dog that was a beloved pet of the Laing family.
