Martini & Rossi is an iconic Italian brand of vermouth and sparkling wines with a rich tradition dating back to 1863. Its story began in Turin, where three entrepreneurs – Alessandro Martini, Luigi Rossi, and Teofilo Sola – decided to acquire the local distillery Distilleria Nazionale di Spirito di Vino. They moved their new business to Pessione, where they began to write the history of the legendary Martini Rosso vermouth. Just four years later, their vermouth triumphed at the World Exhibition in Dublin, and the brand gradually expanded worldwide.

In 1879, the business was officially renamed Martini & Rossi and gradually became synonymous with Italian style, elegance, and the culture of the aperitif. Their products were exported to America, Europe, and Asia, maintaining high quality and a distinctive flavor based on carefully guarded recipes. The production of vermouth is based on white wine (e.g., Trebbiano), which is fortified with alcohol and then flavored with a secret blend of herbs, spices, flowers, and roots. This recipe has been protected for decades by a select group of master blenders and herbalists.

The Martini brand has always prided itself on the combination of artisanal quality and cultural significance. In the 20th century, it became famous for its iconic visual style – from the well-known “ball & bar” logo to impressive advertising campaigns and sponsoring motorsport under the name Martini Racing. Since the late 1960s, the brand has supported Formula 1, rally, and circuit racing, further solidifying its status as a dynamic and stylish brand.

An important part of the brand's identity is the experience of “aperitivo” – a social moment before dinner, which Martini actively promotes through its legendary Terrazze Martini in Milan, Paris, and other European cities. These places have become centers of culture, fashion, and elegance.

In 1993, Martini & Rossi became part of the Bacardi Limited group, allowing the brand to expand its global reach while maintaining its Italian soul and focus on quality. The brand is now sold in over 120 countries worldwide and continues to dominate the global vermouth market. Their goal is to continue spreading the culture of the aperitif, preserving traditional recipes, innovating in sustainability, and creating drinks that bring people together and embody the pleasure of life.
