Martini

Martini & Rossi is an iconic Italian brand of vermouths and sparkling wines with a rich tradition dating back to 1863. Its story began in Turin, where three entrepreneurs - Alessandro Martini, Luigi Rossi and Teofilo Sola - decided to buy the local Distilleria Nazionale di Spirito di Vino. They moved their new venture to Pessione, where they began to write the history of the legendary Martini Rosso vermouth. Just four years later, their vermouth triumphed at the Dublin World Exhibition and the brand gradually spread all over the world.

In 1879, the company was definitively renamed Martini & Rossi and gradually became synonymous with Italian style, elegance and aperitif culture. Their products were exported to America, Europe and Asia, maintaining their high quality and distinctive taste based on carefully guarded recipes. The production of vermouth relies on white wine (e.g. Trebbiano), which is fortified with alcohol and then flavoured with a secret blend of herbs, spices, flowers and roots. This recipe has been protected for decades only by a small circle of master blenders and herbalists.

The Martini brand has always prided itself on a combination of artisanal quality and cultural overlap. In the 20th century, it also became famous for its iconic visual style - from its famous 'ball & bar' logo, to its striking advertising campaigns, to its sponsorship of motorsport under the Martini Racing name. Since the late 1960s, the brand has supported Formula 1, rally and circuit racing, further cementing its status as a dynamic and stylish brand.
