Lepanto Pedro Ximénez Solera Gran Reserva
Lepanto Pedro Ximénez Solera Gran Reserva is an exceptional Spanish brandy from the Jerez de la Frontera region, which combines traditional craftsmanship and the unique character of sherry.
It is made exclusively from the Palomino Fino grape variety grown in Jerez and is distilled in two Charentais copper stills, which is rare even within the region itself. After double distillation, the so-called "holanda" is obtained – the purest part of the distillate, which serves as the base for this brandy.
Aging takes place using the traditional Solera system in 600-liter American oak barrels. Lepanto PX first ages for 12 years in barrels that previously held dry sherry Tio Pepe and then an additional 3 years in barrels that previously held 30-year-old sweet sherry Pedro Ximénez. This process imparts a deep and complex character to the brandy, resulting from long aging and careful selection of barrels.
The result is a brandy with a rich aromatic profile and a smooth, sweet taste. With its elegance and complexity, it is the perfect digestif, best enjoyed at room temperature in a brandy glass, or paired with quality cheese like gouda, or with a fine cigar.
