Brandy Lepanto is produced at the González Byass winery. It is a renowned Spanish wine company based in Jerez de la Frontera, founded in 1835. It is primarily known for its sherry Tío Pepe, but its portfolio also includes other exceptional products, such as brandy Lepanto. Lepanto is the only Brandy de Jerez Gran Reserva that is distilled and aged exclusively in Jerez, embodying the authentic essence of the region.

To produce brandy Lepanto, only the Palomino Fino grape variety grown in Jerez is used. After fermentation, the wine is distilled in two Charentais copper stills, which were brought from the Cognac region in the 1960s. The resulting distillate, known as "holanda," is the heart of the brandy and ages in American oak barrels that previously contained sherry, following the traditional solera system.
