Le Compte Calvados 5-Year-Old can briefly be described as a blend of vanilla and fruit. It offers light fruity notes of apples, as well as a subtle hint of wood and vanilla undertones. These come from lightly toasted small French oak barrels, in which it was first aged. Subsequently, this Pays d'Auge Calvados also matured in older oak barrels (known as “ginger barrels”), which helped its fruity component fully develop and blossom into the enticing flavor of a truly exceptional drink.
