La Hechicera – Colombian Rum with the Soul of the Caribbean

La Hechicera means “sorceress” in Spanish – a symbol of the natural beauty and mystery of the Colombian Caribbean. The brand was founded in 2011 by Martamaria Carrillo and siblings Laura and Miguel Riascos at the family distillery Casa Santana, which has over 20 years of rum-making tradition. It is one of the last independent distilleries in Colombia and has gained fame for its focus on authenticity and craftsmanship.

The Art of Aging and Blending

La Hechicera Rum is created using the Solera system by blending rums aged 12 to 21 years in oak barrels. It is a masterful blend of Caribbean rums from Cuba, Colombia, and Central America, which together create a complex harmony of flavors. The result is a rum with notes of caramel, roasted nuts, banana, and subtle spices – with natural sweetness and no added colors or sugars.
