La Hechicera is a young Colombian rum brand. The name La Hechicera means "witch" in Spanish and was inspired by the mystical beauty and rich natural diversity of the Colombian part of the Caribbean. The brand was founded in 2011 by Martamaria Carrillo and siblings Laura and Miguel Riascos against the background of more than 20 years of family history of rum production at the Casa Santana family distillery, one of the few privately owned distilleries in Colombia. La Hechicera rum is a masterful blend created by mixing in a solera system from 12 to 21-year-old Cuban, Colombian and Central American rums.
