La Hechicera – Colombian rum with the soul of the Caribbean

La Hechicera means “the enchantress” in Spanish – a symbol of the natural beauty and mystery of the Colombian Caribbean. The brand was founded in 2011 by Martamaria Carrillo and siblings Laura and Miguel Riascos at the family-owned Casa Santana distillery, which has over 20 years of rum-making tradition. It is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Colombia, known for its authenticity and craftsmanship.

The art of ageing and blending

La Hechicera rum is crafted using the Solera method, blending rums aged 12 to 21 years in oak casks. It’s a masterful blend of Caribbean rums from Cuba, Colombia, and Central America, creating a complex harmony of flavors. Expect notes of caramel, roasted nuts, banana, and subtle spice – naturally sweet, without added color or sugar.
