Joseph Cartron Cacao
Joseph Cartron Cacao is a premium French liqueur from Burgundy that celebrates the rich and intense flavor of cocoa beans. The Joseph Cartron company, founded in 1882 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, is known for its commitment to quality and traditional production methods.
Cocoa beans come from small family farms in Ivory Coast, where they are gently roasted and crushed on-site. They are then transported to Nuits-Saint-Georges, where they are combined with neutral sugar beet distillate. The mixture is lightly boiled and macerated for one day, then filtered.
Additional cocoa beans and alcohol are added, the mixture is allowed to macerate for another day, and then it is distilled in a copper pot. The resulting drink is blended with crystallized sugar from sugar beets and a small amount of cognac, which deepens the flavor of the liqueur.
With an alcohol content of 24%, this liqueur is perfect for sipping neat, served chilled or over ice. It is also an excellent ingredient for cocktails like Brandy Alexander or Mezcal Chocolate Negroni, where it adds depth and rich cocoa flavor.
Bottles have a volume of 0.7 l.
