Johnnie Walker Double Black

Very special edition of the 2011 classic blend Johnnie Walker, Black Label. Double Black was originally produced for the retail travel market. It combines the rich malty flavor of Black Label with a touch of peatier whisky and barrels that were more charred. The result is a pleasantly warm, smoky whisky with the usual rich malty base of the Johnnie Walker brand that is truly very good.

Aroma: Slightly smoky and almost medicinal to the nose, it offers hints of vanilla, a bit of tar, a touch of barbecue sauce, citrus, and malt.
Taste: Good consistency, very creamy with an amazing malty base. It offers a surprising level of peaty smoke that works really well. Creamy sweetness, hints of smoke from fine wood, salted butter, pudding, and grains of cereal.
Finish: Good length with hints of malt, hard candies, black pepper, and cool smoke.
