Irish Mist
Irish Mist Whiskey is a liqueur of bright amber color with a deep flavor of warm honey, creamy caramel, and a smooth, gentle finish. A blend of 4-year-old whiskeys that have been triple distilled and aged in American oak barrels.
Irish Mist is a liqueur that originated in 1947 and is considered the first commercially produced liqueur in Ireland. It is based on mature Irish whiskey, to which honey (especially heather and clover), herbs, and spices are added. The result is a liqueur with a sweet and neatly balanced flavor – ideal for sipping on its own or as an addition to cocktails.
The aroma awakens warm notes of honey, vanilla, delicate herbs, and citrus peel. The alcohol is noticeable but not dominant – the whiskey adds depth and character.
The taste is sweet and smooth, with a pronounced presence of honey, a touch of caramel and vanilla, transitioning through subtle spicy accents (cinnamon, clove) and dried fruit. Although the liqueur is quite sweet, it has a balanced structure – the whiskey character leaves a feeling of depth.
We recommend serving it best neat or on the rocks. It also works well added to Irish coffee, in cocktails, or mixed with cola or tonic. It can also be an aperitif or digestif.
