Hernö Navy Strength Gin is the flagship made from the same distilled gin as Hernö Dry Gin, but with a 57% alcohol content. The difference in aroma and flavor is very clear, and the strength of Hernö Navy Strength has an overall richer taste with more pronounced juniper, coriander, citrus, and especially spices. The ship symbolizes the British Navy, which tested the quality of gin on its ships using gunpowder. If the gin was of poor quality, the spilled gin on the gunpowder would ruin the ammunition. It only ignited if the gin had at least 57%.
