English Harbour Reserve 10 Year Old
English Harbour Reserve 10 Year Old is a premium molasses Caribbean rum. Distilled at Antigua Distillery and named after the town on the island briefly inhabited by Horatio Nelson in the 18th century. A blend of 10 to 25 year old rums aged in ex-bourbon barrels.
Molasses in the production of this rum ferments for 24 to 36 hours using a combination of commercial and wild yeasts. It is the wild yeasts and coastal location of the distillery that give the rum a distinct salty hint in flavor.
The first records of rum production in Antigua date back to 1700. However, sugar production in Antigua is now absent, so English Harbour imports molasses from the Dominican Republic and Guyana. Their rums are aged in a warehouse without temperature control using barrels from bourbon and Tennessee whiskey.
We recommend serving at room temperature or with a cube of ice. Delivered in a gift box.
