Elements of Islay Lp12

The limited edition Scotch Single Malt whisky Elements of Islay Laphroaig12 (Lp12) matures for 1.5 years in ex-sherry barrels, followed by 1.5 years in oak Hogshead barrels. They repeated this process once more, so that Lp12 matures for a total of 6 years. Distilled in 2014 at the Laphroaig distillery in the south of the United Kingdom. The most characteristic taste tones of this whisky are thick smoke, wood, honey and burns. Only 1672 bottles were produced! The bottle has a very nice design label which is supposed to resemble the elements from the periodic table.

Aroma: caramel, cake, cigarette smoke, open first aid kit (bandages, iodine)
Taste: honey, sausage, bacon, figs, smoke, wood, burns
Finish: ash, chocolate, thyme, thick smoke, wood
