Dos Maderas 5+3 - damaged
Damage: missing back label.
First, it rests for five years in American oak barrels in the Caribbean. Later, it is sent to the Williams & Humbert winery in Jerez (Andalusia, Spain), where it undergoes the final aging stage lasting three years in barrels that previously aged the world-renowned sherry "Dos Cortados," which has won numerous awards and whose 20-year age guarantees the certification of origin Jerez-Xérs-Sherry.
Awards won by Dos Maderas 5+3 rum:
Bronze medal at the International Rum Festival (San Francisco) 2008.
Silver medal at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco 2008.
Tasting notes:
Due to the division of the aging process into two different phases, Dos Maderas 5+3 is a very special aged rum, unique in the world, with a bouquet, taste, and aroma that are hard to compare. Toasted flavor in the mouth with hints of vanilla and nut. Exceptionally smooth and silky aroma.
Serving tips: since this is a high-quality aged rum, we recommend drinking it neat or with a few ice cubes and for connoisseurs as a main ingredient in selected cocktails.
