Coconut Cartel Special
Coconut Cartel Special is a rum that ages in new barrels made of white American oak for up to 12 years. This blend features an exotic aroma of coconut with hints of banana, mango, and vanilla. On tasting, you will experience notes of caramel, sandalwood, and caramelized brown sugar, and of course, coconut. You will also discover a subtle touch of minerality and a light saltiness from coconut water.
It is important to note that this is not a sweet rum and is free from artificial flavors and added colors. The base of Coconut Cartel is a rich, traditionally produced Spanish-style rum. The entire production process begins on a farm located in the volcanic region of southern Guatemala, where sugarcane thrives in mineral-rich soil.
Story: In 2012, the story of the "coconut smugglers" began on an island farm off the coast of El Salvador. This farm, originally established in 1918 to supply coconut products, was later discontinued for commercial purposes. Over 100 years later, Mike Zig brought more than three hundred coconuts in his suitcase to this farm and revitalized local agriculture. Today, the coconuts from this farm are used to produce the unique Coconut Cartel.
Bottles were filled with an alcohol content of 40%, the rum was softened with coconut water, and the volume is 0.7 l.
