Description
On May 2, 2007, a devastating fire broke out at St. Lucia Distillers, and the Master Distiller was tasked with finding a suitable place to store the aging barrels away from the fire. Over time, they were forgotten under these circumstances. These forgotten barrels contained rum that was too old for Chairman's Reserve, so they decided to create an entirely new line, aptly named. Forgotten Casks is crafted to mimic the originally forgotten rum.
Aroma: spicy and intense with notes of coffee beans, cocoa, maple spice, and vanilla, with a hint of potpourri.
Taste: dark rich spices, apricot jam, golden syrup, delicate caramel, and coffee.
Finish: medium-long, warm, with notes of raisins and plums.
