Discover the exceptionally pleasant and slightly sweet rum Bolivar, produced and aged in the beautiful Venezuela. It is distilled using Column Still from premium local sugarcane, giving it a true tropical touch.
The rum is named after Simon Bolivar, known as the Liberator and Venezuelan hero, who played a key role in the transition to independence from Spain for several South American and Central American countries, including Venezuela. Bolívar is also the Venezuelan national currency.
Tropical aging is three times more intense than aging in cooler climates. The tropical heat intensifies the interaction between the rum and the wood. It aged in American ex-bourbon barrels made of white oak, which imparted a pleasant woody aroma with notes of spice and nuts.
After aging, cocoa and vanilla distillates were added to the rum, achieving a unique flavor with perfect balance and smoothness. We recommend serving it neat or in cocktails. It comes in a red gift tube.
