Blackwoods 2017 Vintage Dry Gin 60%
Blackwoods Gin is produced by distilling herbs that are hand-picked on the Shetland Islands in copper vessels. To extract the best essence from the plants, they are steeped in gently heated neutral grain distillate the night before distillation. This helps to balance their properties. The blending process requires time and skill to achieve a harmonious fusion of the created concentrate with the alcohol. Master blender Andrew Bartlem has been crafting high-quality, award-winning gins for over thirty years and takes pride in producing them for Blackwoods Dry Gin. The gin has an alcohol content of 60% for a very interesting reason. The Shetland Islands are located at 60° latitude, and thus the gin is 60%.
Aroma: juniper, herbal and citrus notes.
Taste: on the palate, it is very slightly sweet and floral, deliciously balanced by the warm glow of 60% alcohol.
