BenRiach The Thirty 30 Year Old

This excellent single malt whisky, BenRiach The Thirty 30 Year Old, was made from peated spirit and matured in 4 casks for at least 30 years in sherry casks, bourbon casks, virgin oak casks and Douro Valley port casks.

During the long maturation, the sweet smoke from the Benriach Speyside mellows and mingles with fruit, malt and oak. After thirty years, the rich layering develops into a sublime honey smoke, which is further enhanced by the multi-layered maturation in barrels.

The whisky from each cask type, which is imbued with specific flavour characteristics, is then expertly blended to create a beautifully harmonious single malt whisky with layers of dark fruit, rich walnuts and velvety oak spice with a long, complex, honeyed, smoky finish. All in perfect balance.

The whisky is a double Gold Medal winner in the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Founded back in 1897 by John Duff & Co, the well-known Speyside distillery quickly closed and changed hands several times during its existence. In 2020, the distillery's entire core range has been replaced with seven exciting new expressions. The owners of BenRiach Distillery Company have also proudly restored the malting floors for occasional use.

The bottlings are bottled at 46 % alcohol with a 0,7 l capacity. They come in a gift tube.
