Launched in 2008, this 18-year-old triple-distilled single malt whiskey from Lowland boasts a great variety of flavors in the Auchentoshan base line. She matured in American oak barrels.
Aroma: Wide with tanned oak and vanilla pepper. Chocolate cake and pleasant grassiness, moist but drying. Crystallized ginger.
Taste: Roasted vanilla, dark nuts, maybe chestnut and something aromatic, which softens slightly over time.
Conclusion: Barley.
