Amrut Fusion - damaged packaging
Product with a damaged tube.
Whisky Amrut Fusion comes from the Bengaluru highlands in India, where the climatic conditions significantly affect the maturation of the whisky. The high altitude and warm climate cause a faster interaction with the barrels, resulting in an intense, concentrated, and rich character.
Whisky is created by combining two types of malted barley:
– malt from India (non-peaty),
– malt from Scotland (lightly peaty), which is imported and blended with Indian distillate.
Maturation takes place in American oak barrels, which impart vanilla, spice, and smoothness to the whisky.
The aroma features dark chocolate, honey, tropical fruit, citrus peel, light smoke, and roasted nuts.
The taste is bold, full, and multi-layered – caramel, dark chocolate, malty base, gentle peat, espresso, raisins, black pepper, and a touch of smoke. The finish is long, warm, and spicy, with hints of cocoa, oak, and subtle peat.
Amrut Fusion has become one of the most significant whiskies outside of Scotland and regularly receives global awards for its boldness, complexity, and unique style.
