Amrut Single Malt is the flagship of the Indian distillery Amrut Distilleries, which was the first to introduce the world to premium Indian whisky made from malted barley grown in the foothills of the Himalayas.
It is a whisky that has gained international recognition for its distinctive character, natural depth, and faster maturation due to the warm Bengaluru climate.
The base consists of 100% malted barley (non-peated), distilled using traditional methods and aged in American oak barrels. The combination of high temperatures and significant day-night temperature variations accelerates the interaction with the barrel, creating an intense, concentrated, and highly aromatic profile.
The aroma is dominated by notes of honey, vanilla, caramel, tropical fruits, fresh malt, and subtle spices.
On the palate, the whisky is smooth, malty, and fruity – honey, vanilla, pear, mango, mild spiciness, roasted barley, and a gentle touch of oak. The finish is medium-long, warm, with notes of sweet spice, caramel, and soft wood.
