Unhiq XO is a dark rum made from molasses sourced from the Dominican Republic. It is a sweeter rum type due to the added amount of honey and sweet ingredients that make it unique.
Unhiq is produced from a distillate with an alcohol content of 72% and is blended with a "lighter" distillate with an alcohol content of approximately 90% before being aged in ex-bourbon and ex-whiskey barrels for 31 years using the Solera method.
The manufacturer states 1982 as the vintage when the rum was distilled. The aroma is very aromatic with notes of nutmeg, dried fruit, such as dried plums and figs, with hints of vanilla and almonds, coconut, and sugarcane. It is a flavor explosion that is rich in tones of vanilla, roasted coffee beans, and bourbon, along with a softer hint of cinnamon.
This is a limited production of 6500 liters for the entire global market and each bottle is numbered.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 42% with a volume of 0.5 l and are delivered in luxurious gift boxes.
