Tokaj Spirit was founded in 2012 and has since become one of the most innovative and prominent liqueur producers in Hungary. The brand’s goal is to create premium specialties and build Tokaj Spirit into an internationally recognized name that represents quality, creativity, and a modern approach to traditional craftsmanship.

The brand’s factory is located in the Tokaj region, a world-famous wine area known for producing the legendary Aszú dessert wine. The unique climate and soil provide ideal conditions for making high-quality fruit brandies – especially pálinka, Hungary’s national fruit spirit. Since its inception, Tokaj Spirit has focused on showcasing a new, modern face of Tokaj’s heritage, and its products can now be found in supermarkets and bars across Hungary.

A turning point for the brand came in 2016, when it merged with Hungary’s largest cream liqueur producer. Since then, it has developed a wide portfolio of products made exclusively from premium ingredients – Dutch dairy cream, cage-free eggs, handcrafted whisky, fine spirit, natural flavors, and spices. The use of Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa and Belgian chocolate underlines the company’s commitment to sustainability and fair agriculture.

The core product range includes Chocolate, Egg, Tiramisu, and Whisky Liqueurs, distributed under the Tokaj Spirit brand or as private-label products for major retail chains. The brand is also known for its creativity – among its innovations are Chestnut, Chocolate-Coconut, Salted Caramel, and Bourbon-Whisky Cream Liqueurs, as well as seasonal specialties such as Pumpkin Liqueur for Halloween, Gingerbread for Christmas, and Love Potion – a chocolate-strawberry creation for Valentine’s Day.

In 2020, Tokaj Spirit launched Hungary’s first vegan cream liqueur, made from coconut oil and developed under the supervision of the V-Label International Vegan Society. The Coconut & Almond Liqueur quickly became one of the brand’s most successful products, earning a Gold Medal in London and an “Excellent” rating in New York.

Today, Tokaj Spirit is expanding beyond Hungary – supplying products to Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, Serbia, and China, and regularly exhibiting at international fairs such as Prowein Düsseldorf and Anuga Cologne. By combining Tokaj’s heritage with quality and innovation, Tokaj Spirit is becoming a key representative of Hungarian liqueur craftsmanship on the global stage.
