Tajna Sunset Danube 2022 Discontinued

Red, dry wine Tajna Sunset from the Dunaj variety comes from the vineyard Sari, winery Tajna, vintage 2022 impresses with its fullness and dark ruby hue.

The aroma is typically fruity with a pronounced expression of blackberries, cherries, and black currants. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet beautifully juicy thanks to its pleasant acidity and expression of fruity notes.

The harvest of the Dunaj variety took place on two dates, namely September 28, 2022, and October 7, 2022. The mash, after destemming and crushing, went to the vinifiers, where alcoholic fermentation took place.

After pressing and malolactic fermentation, the finished wine was prepared for aging in wooden barrels. The barrels were selected by the technologist based on experiences from previous vintages to leave their mark on the wine while preserving the varietal character. After a year of aging in wood, the wine was bottled and filled without filtration to preserve its naturally full color, aroma, and taste.

We recommend serving at a temperature of 14 – 16 °C in “bordeaux” type red wine glasses with a volume of 550 – 650 ml.

The wine pairs well with confit pork neck with roasted onion and pepper compote, served with crushed potatoes, complemented with butter and arugula.
