Coffee Rum Ron Colon Salvadoreno Coffee Infused High Proof Rum contains the same base as its relative with an equally high alcohol content, Ron Colón High Proof Aged Rum. In this case, it has also been enriched with coffee beans of the Bourbon Arabica variety grown at an altitude of 1700 m above sea level near the famous Salvadoran volcano Santa Ana in the El Ciprés region.
The medium-roasted Bourbon Arabica coffee beans have an amazing and creamy sweet flavor. They were processed using slow natural methods, which include hand-turning the beans to ensure even drying.
The whole beans were then cold macerated in rum for 48 hours. This technique allowed the fruity flavor of the coffee to be released before the bitter notes blended with the taste of the rum. The result resembles delicious coffee with a splash of good rum. Could you resist it?
