RedLeg Spiced Rum Discontinued

In 2010, Blavod Wines and Spirits launched a new spiced rum called Red Leg Spiced Rum. The name RedLeg is derived from the hermit crab, which has distinctly red legs and lives in the coral reefs of the Caribbean. In the UK, RedLeg rum is part of the Hi Spirits Group.

The rum is a blend of the finest rums sourced from the Caribbean. Its secret lies in the blending. The rum ages in oak barrels filled with Jamaican ginger and vanilla spice. It is a very interesting rum, as evidenced by its 2013 award, where it won double gold in San Francisco.

Aroma: pronounced vanilla notes with caramel and spice
Taste: vanilla is quickly subdued by strong spices, rich cake flavor. The texture becomes quite silky and very smooth towards the end. Hints of ginger and oak wood.
Finish: medium short with subtle vanilla notes, spicy at the end
