Presidente Martí Gran Añejo

Presidente Martí Gran Añejo is a premium Dominican rum inspired by the heritage of Cuban maestros roneros and the traditional Solera ageing method. The production uses molasses and a selection of medium- to long-aged rums that mature through several stages in carefully chosen casks.

The rums in this blend mature first in ex-bourbon barrels, which provide tones of vanilla and caramel, and then in selected ex-sherry casks, adding deeper fruity notes and a subtle wine-like character.

The result is a harmonious, rich and smooth flavour typical of Dominican rum, yet enhanced with a Spanish-style influence.

On the nose, it reveals aromas of caramel, raisins, chocolate, candied fruit, gentle oak and sweet vanilla.

The palate is full and elegant – dark caramel, honey, chocolate, dried plums, roasted nuts, light spice and soft woody undertones.

The finish is long, sweet and smooth, with lingering notes of chocolate, honey and raisins.

This rum is excellent neat, on the rocks, or as a luxurious base for rum cocktails such as the Rum Old Fashioned or Rum Manhattan.
