MUJA Irish Whiskey AUSO represents the first artistic collaboration of the MUJA brand, where Irish whiskey merges with contemporary art and striking design.
The name AUSO is derived from the Latin ausus – "dared". It refers to the idea of creation, transformation, and the courage to transcend established boundaries.
The design of the edition is by Italian artist Giulia Poppi. Each decanter is individually handcrafted using colors, engravings, and other artistic interventions. The subtle differences between each piece are therefore an intentional part of the concept, making each bottle a unique collectible item.
The whiskey itself is equally exceptional. Its heart is a 20-year-old Single Grain Irish Whiskey aged in bourbon casks, complemented by 8 to 9-year-old Single Malt whiskeys from sherry and Marsala casks and Single Pot Still whiskey from ex-bourbon casks.
The result is a complex yet silky smooth whiskey with layers of vanilla, honey, toffee, dried fruit, and gentle spices. The oak notes remain elegant, and in the long finish, roasted almonds are added.
The whiskey is triple distilled, unfiltered cold, and bottled at 46% alcohol by volume. It is produced only in very limited quantities.
