Mossburn Vintage Casks Glen Spey 10 Year Old No.27

Mossburn Vintage Casks Glen Spey No.27 is a 10-year-old Scotch whisky from Glen Spey, independently released as part of the exceptional whisky series under the Mossburn Vintage Casks brand. It was distilled back in 2008 and then spent over a decade maturing before the casks were reopened in 2019 and this great whisky was bottled.

As is typical for Mossburn, this whisky was bottled without filtration and without added coloring. You may also be pleased to know that it was bottled at a respectable cask strength of 55.9% alcohol by volume.

Aroma: a large amount of fresh malt, a light menthol scent, honey, and pencil shavings
Taste: baked malt sprinkled with brown sugar, orange peel, fresh herbs, and vanilla pod
Finish: anise accompanied by a return of aromatic notes of menthol and oily malt
