Masia Salat is a brand of organic sparkling wines that represents traditional values and modern production methods in the Penedès region, known for its long tradition of Cava production. The wines are made exclusively from grapes grown without chemical fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides, with an emphasis on protecting the environment.

Masia Salat wines are produced by the Josep Masachs winery, which has its roots back in 1920. Founder Josep Masachs Llorach grew grapes in Vilafranca del Penedès, and his son began producing wine professionally in the 1950s. Today, the family business is run by the fourth generation, which combines family values with ecological and innovative approaches.

The grapes for Cava Masia Salat come exclusively from organic vineyards, where no pesticides or herbicides are used – only natural fertilizers. The base is a blend of classic varieties Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada (in varying proportions depending on the style).

The wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle and ages on the lees for at least 10 - 14 months, depending on the variant (Brut: ~10 months, Brut Nature: ~14 months).
