Lillet is a prestigious French aperitif from the small village of Podensac south of Bordeaux, which was created in 1872 when brothers Paul and Raymond Lillet founded Maison Lillet as a wine, spirits, and liqueurs shop.

In 1887, they developed the first version of Kina Lillet — a combination of white Bordeaux wine with citrus liqueurs and quinine. This is how the aromatic wine, also known to us as vermouth, was born, enchanting with its incredible aroma, delicious sweet taste, and pleasant bitterness at the end.

The Lillet brand quickly gained popularity both at home and abroad, and by the early 20th century, it was exported to Great Britain, the USA, and Asia. It is inextricably linked to cocktail culture and became famous primarily thanks to the iconic Vesper Martini cocktail, popularized by James Bond in the novel Casino Royale.

Today, Lillet is among the most prestigious brands of French wine and aperitifs, offering modern variations – Lillet Blanc, Rosé, and Rouge. We recommend serving it chilled with ice, but also as a base for popular cocktails, such as Lillet Spritz.
