Knob Creek

The Knob Creek brand was created in 1992 by Booker Noe, grandson of the legendary Jim Beam. It is part of the Small Batch Bourbon Collection (a collection of smaller, craft-produced bourbons) and its goal is to bring bourbon as it was made before Prohibition – strong, honest, and full of character. The Knob Creek philosophy follows the tradition of the Bottled-in-Bond Act from the late 19th century, which guaranteed the high quality and authentic taste of American whiskey.

Knob Creek is an American whiskey, specifically a bourbon, which differs from other types of whisky because it has a high proportion of corn in its mash bill (at least 51%). This gives it a natural sweetness. This bourbon is aged for a minimum of 9 years and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Today, the brand’s portfolio includes two main products. Knob Creek Bourbon, a classic corn bourbon with a long tradition and robust profile, and Knob Creek Rye, which instead of corn relies on a higher proportion of rye. Rye whiskey is known for its spicier, drier character and is ideal for mixed drinks like the Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
