Jameson Triple Distilled & Triple Cask

Jameson Triple Distilled & Triple Cask is a whisky that is 3 times distilled and matured in 3 casks. Ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks were used. Finally, the malt was matured in Malaga wine casks, which turned out to be a great idea for the finish of the whisky. Malaga is a liqueur wine originally from Spain. It is distinguished by its dark colour and caramel flavour, as well as its high concentration of residual sugar.

At first we can smell the initial fruity notes of sweet pear in the aroma, which develop into a tangy citrus zest with some dark fruits in the background. Hints of cinnamon and cloves gently balance the sweet influence of the Malaga wine barrels.

On the palate we feel juicy notes, full of sweet orchard fruit and light notes of blackcurrant, plum and raisin. The spice slowly builds and adds depth with notes of clove and black pepper layered over the oak tannins, adding dark chocolate and liquorice on the finish.

The bottles were bottled at 40 % alcohol and are 1 litre in volume.
