Havana Club 7 Year Old
Havana Club 7 Year Old is a legendary Cuban rum that is aged for at least seven years in oak barrels, typically after bourbon. Described as "the very essence of Cuban rum," this spirit captivates with its elegant complexity, featuring notes of Cuban tobacco, tropical fruit, molasses, spices, and vanilla.
It is ideal for sipping on the rocks or in cocktails. Havana Club 7 Años is made from high-quality molasses fermented with specific strains of yeast. After distillation, it is aged for at least seven years in used oak barrels, mostly bourbon barrels. The aging process takes place in traditional warehouses outside the city, which ensure a balance between heat and humidity — ideal for the gradual release of aromas.
The aroma of Havana Club 7 is dominated by notes of cocoa beans, vanilla, fresh tobacco, spices, and chocolate-caramel nuances.
The taste is full and dense, with rich layers of dark caramel, orange marmalade, roasted hazelnuts, caramel, dark chocolate, oak, and spice. The finish is medium-long, with hints of bitter orange peel, tobacco, and sweet cane.
It is best served neat, on ice or as a luxurious base for sophisticated cocktails such as Old Fashioned or 7-Ginger.
