When the Symington family acquired the Graham's brand in 1970, production manager Peter Symington chose their first crop in 1972 to mature in mature oak barrels. Peter accompanied the maturation of this single-crop port throughout his career and left it to his son in 2009 when he retired. Charles Symington, the current production manager, tasted each of the barrels entrusted to him and selected nine of them for bottling. This individually numbered limited edition of Port 1972, each containing 712 bottles, is a demonstration of the knowledge and experience that has been passed down from generation to generation.
