An interesting fact about this rum is that it is not made from molasses, which is usually the base of distillation. Instead, juice is pressed from freshly harvested sugarcane grown right on the island. This fermented sugarcane juice is then used to distill Beach House Spiced Rum, which is aged in oak barrels. The goal was to highlight the natural aromas of the rum with added spices.
