Absolut
Absolut Vodka was born from Swedish tradition of vodka production and a commitment to the source and community. One source is the company's manufacturing philosophy, meaning that most of the production journey takes place in the small village of Åhus in Sweden and its surroundings.
For production, winter wheat from the area around the town of Åhus in southern Sweden is used. The fertile fields in southern Sweden are ideal for growing wheat, with yields approximately twice the global average for wheat production.
The water used for production is always drawn locally from own wells that are over 140 meters deep. The water has been filtered through Swedish rocks for thousands of years, providing a natural mouthfeel that cannot be created in a lab. After all, 60 % of vodka is pure water.
Another plus is that today every bottle of Absolut vodka is made from over 53 % recycled glass. The bottle volume is 0.7 l.
