The Vecchia Romagna brand was created in 1820 in Bologna, where Giovanni Buton, a French winemaker, founded the first distillery in Italy, inspired by the tradition of cognac production. In 1939, the brand was given its name ‘Vecchia Romagna’ and its iconic triangular bottle, symbolising innovative thinking and precision in production. Vecchia Romagna is made from selected grape varieties grown in Italy. The brand emphasises double distillation – a combination of continuous and discontinuous processes that ensures unique smoothness and flavour.
