Tamdhu is a Scottish distillery of sherry single malts from Speyside, but its story begins under the warm Spanish sun. In 1898, the founders of Tamdhu secured the first precious shipment of sherry casks from the finest Spanish wineries. After a century of hard work and innovation, the Tamdhu distillery closed its doors in 2010. In 2012, it was taken under the wing of the determined distillery Ian Macleod Distillers, which breathed new life into the creation of outstanding sherry whisky according to the original recipes.

And even now, 100 years later, Tamdhu matures its whisky exclusively in the highest quality Oloroso sherry casks. Although the casks are extremely rare and expensive, the aging methods remain unchanged, as they believe it is the best way to create the finest single malt whisky.
