Massive and rich Jamaican molasses rum Smith & Cross Rum, which for its taste has become the cornerstone of classic rum drinks.

Description

Smith & Cross Rum is a blended rum of heavy Wedderburn-style rum and medium-bodied Plummer rum, both renowned for their notes of exotic fruit and spice. The unparalleled complexity of this rum offers a true sensory journey, making it a historic cornerstone of classic rum cocktails. Naturally, this Jamaican molasses rum is neither filtered nor flavored.

On the nose, intense tropical fruits – pineapple, overripe bananas – mingle with strong, varnish-like / solvent notes (lacquer, glue), which then give way to exotic fruit and berries, complemented by spices such as cinnamon and clove.

On the palate, tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, bananas), spice, subtle earthy tones, red fruit and hints of black tea or ginger emerge.

The finish is long and warming, with a mix of spice, lingering tropical fruit, gentle sweetness and woody undertones.

This rum is bottled at 57 % ABV (so-called “navy strength”) and works brilliantly as a base for cocktails (Mai Tai, Jungle Bird, Kingston Negroni), yet it is bold enough to be enjoyed neat by those who love the “funky” Jamaican style.

Whiskies that warm you up – a selection of smoky and autumnal single malt whiskies
The time is coming when evenings are getting longer and the wind is starting to bite. This is exactly the time for something that will warm not only the body but also the soul. And although autumn can be survived with just tea and a blanket, sometimes something stronger is needed, something with a little smoke and a lot of character: Scottish whisky. This is the time of year when heavier or peaty…

Punch – The Drink That Brings the World Together Punch has a long history and remains a symbol of friendship, warmth, and social gatherings. Its name comes from the Indian word pañch (“five”) – referring to the five basic ingredients: alcohol, sugar, citrus, water, and spices. The drink made its way to Europe in the 17th century through merchants of the British East India Company and quickly…
