Smith & Cross Rum

Smith & Cross Rum is a blended rum of heavy Wedderburn-style and medium-bodied Plummer rum, known for its notes of exotic fruits and spices. The unparalleled complexity of this rum takes you on a journey through the senses of smell and taste, making it a historic cornerstone of classic rum cocktails. Of course, this Jamaican molasses rum is neither filtered nor flavored.

The aroma blends intense tropical fruits - pineapple, overripe bananas - with strong, slightly polished/solvent notes (varnish, glue), which then give way to exotic fruits and berries, complemented by spices like cinnamon and cloves.

On the palate, tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, bananas), spices, subtle earthy tones, red fruits, and hints of black tea or ginger emerge.

The finish is long and warming, with a combination of spices, echoes of tropical fruits, gentle sweetness, and woody accents.

This rum has an alcohol content of 57% ABV (known as “navy strength”) and is excellent as a base for cocktails (Mai Tai, Jungle Bird, Kingston Negroni), but is also bold enough to be enjoyed neat for those who love the “funky” Jamaican style.
