Sarajishvili XO
Sarajishvili XO is the ultimate expression of Georgian brandy, combining tradition and elegance in stunning packaging. It is a select blend of distillates from local grape varieties, aged in oak barrels, with a distinctive dark amber colour and velvety taste.
Sarajishvili XO is composed of at least 15 different wine distillates, carefully selected from the rare reserve of David Sarajishvili. These distillates are aged in oak barrels for an average of 14 to 18 years, with some pieces maturing for up to 30 years. The result is a rich, complex composition with a perfect balance between fruity and spicy notes.
The colour palette is dominated by a dark amber to golden colour with a subtle sheen, foreshadowing the depth of aroma and flavour. The nose reveals pleasant notes of oak, vanilla and chocolate, underscored by subtle hints of almonds and leather. On the palate, the brandy is deeply velvety, smooth and well-structured – a harmonious symphony of spices, sweet chocolate undertones and oak elegance.
The Sarajishvili brand has deep roots – its founder, David Zakharyevich Sarajishvili, laid the foundations for the first classic brandy production technology in Georgia in 1884. Just a few years later, in 1887, the first brandy based on the French model began to be produced in Tbilisi, making Georgia the second country in the Russian Empire after France to legally use the designation ‘cognac’.
