The rum is named after this great maritime icon Vasco Núñez de Balboa. Ron Espero is a blend of various rums from the Dominican Republic and Barbados. They age in ex-bourbon barrels in the Caribbean, as well as in filled old French oak barrels from very old Nicaraguan rums.
Recently, the brand won at the rum exhibition "VIENNA RUM FESTIVAL 2022." They received a gold medal for the Espero Coconut & Rum product.
