Ron Cartavio is a Peruvian rum producer with a history dating back to 1929 . A lot has changed in this society since then. The company was confiscated by the Peruvian government in 1968 as part of a territorial reform and over time underwent various name changes, until in 2013 it underwent a serious modernization with the start of rum exports beyond Peru.

The Cartavio rum brand ferments molasses from Peruvian sugar cane and distills it in copper pot still and modern column still distillation equipment. Cartavio rum matures in 14 different places in American and European oak barrels, including not only the proven bourbone and sherry barrels, but also Slovenian oak barrels, which are often not seen with many rum brands.
