Ron Cartavio is a Peruvian rum manufacturer with a history dating back to 1929. Since then, a lot has changed in this company. It was seized by the Peruvian government in 1968 as part of a land reform and over time underwent various name changes until it underwent a serious modernization in 2013 with the launch of rum exports beyond Peru.

The Cartavio rum brand ferments molasses from Peruvian sugarcane and distills it in both copper Pot Still and modern Column Still distillation equipment. Rum Cartavio matures in 14 different locations in American and European oak barrels, including not only well-known bourbon and sherry casks but also Slovenian oak barrels, which are often not seen in many rum brands.
