Description

Ritero Xaperle Rum is a new product from the Slovak band Horkýže Slíže, released on 3 March 2025. The band personally oversaw the entire process – from the selection of Dominican rum and the design of the label to the final bottling. It was produced by the Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos distillery, one of the most environmentally friendly distilleries in the world.

The name of the rum reflects their 2004 album, Ritero Xaperle Bax, which underlines the musical reference of the entire edition. The blend is based on premium rums from the Dominican Republic produced by column distillation using sugar cane juice instead of molasses.

The rum is aged for 3 - 5 years in ex-bourbon barrels made of American white oak, which gives it subtle notes of vanilla, caramel and chocolate. It contains approximately 18 g of sugar per litre and has an alcohol content of 40 %.

The aroma is rich, predominantly caramel and chocolate with hints of almonds, nuts and tropical fruits such as dried bananas and coconut. The taste is smooth, delicately sweet with distinctive notes of dark chocolate, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla and hints of dried figs and oranges in the background. The finish is medium-long, smooth, with predominant sweet and woody notes.

This rum is excellent for sipping neat or in cocktails such as Xaperle Old Fashioned or Ritero-Piña-Bax.

A new product has appeared on the Slovak market that is not afraid to go against the grain. Jon Rye Wanted is a brand new whiskey that does not try to compete with Scottish or Irish legends with their history and myths. Instead of endless stories about pedigree and old barrels, it brings something bolder – a pure taste and a rebellious attitude. How did it actually come about? The idea of…
